Abstract

Examines the question of whether the benefit of an equitable interest in land established by a claimant against the legal owner by way of proprietary estoppel is capable of being passed to a third party. Explains the nature and scope of estoppel equity before considering whether an inchoate estoppel equity can be passed or shared. Lists tentative conclusions drawn by the author from his analysis of the question at issue.
